Beech mountain has a Swiss alpine atmosphere which we really like, but the slope conditions are much better at Sugar mountain always, unless you go when they just got fresh snow. Then either is good. I like some of the slopes at beech, but it seems to get too icy and hard if it’s not fresh snow.

We visited Sugar Mountain Resort February 16 – 19. It was our first time visiting there, and we had a blast! It was also our 12- and 15-year olds first time skiing.
