It seems from other posts that stronger bases and oxidizing agents help clean up the Baystate inks.

What’s the dry time on noodler’s Baystate blue?
Dry time was about average with times between 12-15 seconds. This time did drop on cheaper paper although the paper tends to absorb ink more quickly which causes the feathering. When I used a dip pen or a calligraphy nib, the ink was much darker and showed more of its purple character.
