We know, but it’s a good thing. GT is one of our most targeted schools and both the on campus and online masters program are highly respected. Don’t ever not be proud of your degree or how you got it. The online degree is mostly for people who are already working in the industry.

Not very hard. But there’s a lot of process so you have to be motivated. Think hard about why you want to do the masters, put that into you SOP.

I never really looked into it and just assumed that Tier 1 was a school ranked in the top 50 of US News College Rankings for National Universities….Tier 1 Universities.

You can certainly pursue a PhD after OMSCS, but you can also do it without. In fact, you don’t even need a master’s degree at all to embark on a PhD.
How tough is Omscs?
CS 6601 is among the most difficult courses in the program (and, not coincidentally, among the best). If you deliberately stagger the difficulty of simultaneous courses like this, you’ll have a much better experience. I should also say that the difficulty of the degree correlates inversely with your programming skills.
